An outstanding and well-respected primary school in Hertfordshire is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their committed Key Stage 1 team from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils in their final year of Key Stage 1, helping them consolidate foundational skills and prepare confidently for Key Stage 2.

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role:

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:

*

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners across the Year 2 curriculum

*

Support pupils to consolidate their foundational skills in reading, writing, and maths, preparing them for the transition to Key Stage 2

*

Use assessment data effectively to monitor progress and tailor teaching

*

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that motivates and supports all pupils

*

Collaborate closely with your year group partner and wider staff team to ensure consistency and share best practice

*

Communicate effectively with parents and carers to foster strong home-school partnerships

What We’re Looking For:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2

*

A strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and progression within Key Stage 1

*

Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills

*

Enthusiasm, creativity, and a reflective approach to teaching

*

Commitment to inclusive education and supporting every child’s development
