Primary KS2 Class Teacher Responsibilities

* Lead, inspire, and support the KS2 team, promoting high standards of teaching and learning in KS2.

* Develop and implement creative and effective lesson plans for KS2 students that engage and challenge.

* Oversee the delivery of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students in KS2.

* Monitor and assess student progress in KS2, providing targeted feedback and interventions to support achievement.

* Develop and lead staff training and professional development opportunities within KS2, focusing on Science and Computing.

* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment in KS2 that promotes high expectations and a love of learning.

* Regularly communicate with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress in KS2 and addressing any concerns.

* Contribute to whole-school initiatives and collaborate with other leadership team members to drive school improvement across KS2.

Primary KS2 Class Teacher Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Significant experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes in KS2.

* Experience in a leadership role or with leading teams is highly desirable.

* Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods for KS2.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others in a KS2 setting.

* A passionate leader who is committed to fostering an inclusive and high-achieving learning environment in KS2.

* A collaborative, forward-thinking approach to leadership and school improvement within KS2.

* Commitment to ongoing professional development and supporting others in their growth, particularly in Science and Computing.
