Science Teacher | Secondary School in Chesham | Start Dates: September 2025

Supply Desk are currently looking for a Qualified Science Teacher to join our client school, a great secondary school in the Chesham area. The school is looking to appoint a Science Teacher for either a September start. They will consider NQTs as well as experienced teachers. The school is easily accessible.  There is a solid team across the school, and the strong Senior Leadership ensures a low staff turnover. The role is ideal for educators who enjoy making a positive impact inside the classroom. The successful candidate will join a supportive team to contribute to an impactful learning environment.

Job Description:

To deliver outstanding teaching and learning in Science and therefore help students achieve excellent academic results and be a role model. CPD opportunities will be provided.
To design an engaging and challenging Science curriculum that inspires children to appreciate the range of subjects and their application.
To join a fantastic and friendly team who are supportive and will help with transitions. 
Our ideal candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Have a strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Science curriculum (biology, chemistry, and physics).
Experience of teaching Science (preferable but not essential).
Have a passion for working with children.
Have strong communication skills: both written and verbal.
Be highly organized with good timekeeping.
Demonstrate an enthusiastic, flexible, and can-do attitude.
Have strong behaviour management with a calm approach.
Hold a clear DBS check.
