Qualified Electrician or Approved Electrician – South Manchester

£35000-£40000 + Overtime + Van + Training – based on a 40-hour week

Leading Building Services Consultancy are expanding their electrical division. Widely recognised as one of the fastest growing M&E consultancies and covering work solely in the North West, the successful Qualified Electrician or Approved Electrician will demonstrate a proven track record working on a range of sites including: - Schools and educational establishments, Retail outlets, Hospitality venues and Government buildings.

Duties of the Qualified Electrician or Approved Electrician will include

* Installation of Electrical Systems including lighting and fire alarms, switches, outlets, distribution boards, and circuit breakers.

* Working with existing electrical systems including replacing damaged components and carrying out routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns

* Testing and Inspection to ensure compliance with safety standards to ensure compliance to regulations such as BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)

* Working from technical drawings, and diagrams

* Upgrading old or unsafe wiring set ups

Electrical experience required

* 5+ years working Qualified or Approved Electrician

* City and Guilds Level 3 and either AM2 or Time Served

* 18th Edition

* 2391, 2394/5 in Testing and Inspecting or equivalent.

* Excellent customer service skills, dealing with customers face to face, maintaining site standards

* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)

* A full UK driving licence
