Brook Street Social Care are to be working with a children's care provider who are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing home for children who have experienced difficult circumstances.

We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join the team in a 3 bedded EBD therapeutic children's home within the Wirral area.

As the Deputy Manager, you will be expected to achieve and deliver high quality care to the children and young people residing within the home.

The Deputy Manager is responsible for delivering care focused on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the home. You will be expected to demonstrate practical leadership, organise and support staff, and provide the best possible care for each child and young person. This involves being personally available, supervising and mentoring staff, organising rotas, facilitating care-focused training, and accessing appropriate services to support care practices within the home as well as supporting the Registered Manager where possible.

To be successful for this role you must:

Hold a minimum of 2 years experience within an Ofsted residential childcare setting
Have experience with staff supervision, management of budgets and staff rotas
Hold well-developed written and verbal communication
Ability to project manage
Have flexibility to work on-call duties shared with the Registered Manager and Senior RSW
Hold a full UK driving license
Hold a Diploma in Social Work - Level 3 or 4 NVQThe successful candidate will be committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people and have a resilient nature along with enthusiasm and creativity.
