Location: Devizes, Wiltshire
Salary: £38-43K DOE plus benefits

About the Role
We are seeking a Production Planner to join a leading manufacturing company. This is a key position responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities, ensuring on-time delivery and efficient workflow across departments.

As part of the production and planning team, you will play a crucial role in managing work orders, optimizing ERP systems, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
* Production Planning: Schedule and manage work orders, ensuring timely production flow to meet customer deadlines.
* Order Management: Review and process customer orders, providing delivery updates and supporting communication with key stakeholders.
* Inventory Control: Monitor raw materials and component stock levels, working closely with the purchasing team to maintain availability.
* ERP System Management: Utilize and update ERP systems for planning, ensuring accurate data input and reporting.
* Process Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks, improve workflows, and assist with the development of efficient planning processes.
* Collaboration: Work closely with production, sales, and logistics teams to align manufacturing schedules with business goals.
* Reporting: Prepare and maintain planning records, including production schedules, inventory reports, and performance metrics.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Production Planning Expertise: Previous experience in production planning or manufacturing scheduling is essential.
* ERP Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and production control processes.
* Technical Understanding: Familiarity with engineering manufacturing or supply chain operations.
* Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Analytical Ability: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and suggest process improvements.
* IT Proficiency: Competence with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data tracking and reporting.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
