Job Opportunity: Repairs Technician (Mechanical Repairs Technician)
Location: Titchfield
Contract: PAYE Contract, initially until December 2025, with potential for extension

Working Hours:
37 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:15pm
Friday: 7:30am - 11:30am
Holiday: 33 days paid holiday, or the equivalent added to your weekly pay - your choice.

Pay Rates:
First 12 Weeks:
Core hours: £18.09 p/h PAYE (£20.72 with holiday pay)
Overtime (over 37 hours): £27.13 p/h PAYE (£31.07 with holiday pay)
Sundays: £36.17 p/h PAYE (£41.43 with holiday pay)

After 12 Weeks:
Core hours: £18.65 p/h PAYE (£21.35 with holiday pay)
Overtime (over 37 hours): £27.95 p/h PAYE (£32.02 with holiday pay)
Sundays: £37.27 p/h PAYE (£42.69 with holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out thorough testing, fault diagnosis, and validation of repaired mechanical, electrical, and pump units.
Disassemble and reassemble components, ensuring all work meets strict quality standards.
Support civil and military contracts by enhancing turnaround times through efficient, accurate repairs and testing.
Operate test rigs, measurement tools, and diagnostic equipment to assess unit functionality.
Record and analyze test results, identifying trends and recurring issues to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Comply with all health, safety, and site regulations.
Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to improve processes, reduce costs, and meet production targets.
Stay adaptable with evolving test methods and apply strong problem-solving skills to fault-finding tasks.
Candidate Requirements:

Experience in testing and fault diagnosis, ideally within aerospace or a comparable high-integrity engineering environment.
Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical testing procedures.
Skilled in interpreting SPC data and testing results.
Able to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
Hands-on experience with machining and component adjustments.

Qualifications:

BTEC Level 2/3 in an engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
City & Guilds or National Certificate in an engineering discipline would be an advantage.
A strong mechanical background with a focus on testing and diagnostics.
