This is a remote position for the North West, with the occasional travel to the West Midlands.

Business Development Manager

We’re looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our external sales team. Your main goal will be to win new business and grow relationships with existing clients. While experience in freight forwarding is a plus, it’s not essential — if you have strong B2B sales skills and love building relationships, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

* Find and win new business (air, sea, and road freight).

* Build and manage a pipeline of leads using different methods.

* Grow long-term client relationships and encourage repeat business.

* Work with operations teams to make sure clients have a smooth onboarding experience.

* Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.

* Keep accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions.

* Hit or exceed monthly and yearly sales targets.

What We’re Looking For

* Proven success in B2B sales (ideally in logistics or service-based industries).

* Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

* Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable managing the full sales cycle.

* Quick to learn new terms and services in the industry.

* Great time management and organisational skills.

* Confident using Microsoft Office.

Nice to Have

* Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain.

* Knowledge of import/export markets or an existing industry network.
