A highly regarded secondary school in Basildon is seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join them from September 2025 on a fixed-term basis until the October half term.

There is potential for this position to be extended or become permanent for the right candidate, making it a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

🔹 About the Role:

Teaching English across Key Stage 3 and 4

*

Full-time classroom responsibility including planning and marking

*

Working within a successful and collaborative English department

*

Covering an existing staff member with strong likelihood of continuity

🔹 Ideal Candidate:

UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

*

Confident subject knowledge with experience teaching English up to KS4

*

Strong classroom presence with excellent behaviour management skills

*

Available full-time from the beginning of the autumn term
