Design & Technology (DT) Teacher

Location: Richmond upon Thames

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative Design & Technology (DT) Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Richmond upon Thames. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop practical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of design processes across various material areas.

The Role

The DT Teacher will:

* Deliver engaging and practical DT lessons across Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level (e.g., Product Design, Resistant Materials, Textiles).

* Foster students' understanding of design thinking, iterative development, and safe workshop practices.

* Guide students in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing products.

* Contribute to extracurricular DT clubs and design competitions.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a qualified DT Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) who:

* Possesses strong practical skills and a passion for design and technology.

* Is skilled at creating a stimulating and safe workshop environment.

* Demonstrates a proven ability to differentiate instruction and inspire innovation.
