Location: Richmond upon Thames

An inspiring opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Head of PE to lead a thriving department at a leading secondary school in Richmond upon Thames. This significant leadership role requires a visionary to enhance curriculum provision, inspire high-quality teaching, and foster a culture of physical activity, sporting excellence, and well-being across all key stages.

The Role

The Head of PE will:

* Provide strategic leadership and operational management for the Physical Education department.

* Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and teaching and learning across KS3-5.

* Lead, mentor, and support a team of dedicated PE teachers.

* Promote widespread participation in sport and physical activity, alongside competitive success.

* Manage resources, oversee facilities, and contribute to whole-school well-being initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an exceptional PE teacher with QTS/QTLS and proven leadership experience who:

* Possesses a strong academic and practical background in Physical Education.

* Demonstrates inspiring leadership, strong management skills, and a collaborative approach.

* Is committed to fostering physical literacy, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.

* Is data-informed and innovative in curriculum and extracurricular provision.
