Location: Richmond upon Thames

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Second in Charge of English to join a vibrant secondary school in Richmond upon Thames. This role is perfect for an ambitious English teacher looking to take the next step in their leadership journey, supporting the Head of English in driving academic excellence and fostering a dynamic learning environment.

The Role

The Second in Charge of English will:

* Assist the Head of Department in curriculum planning, development, and assessment.

* Support the line management and professional development of English teachers.

* Contribute to monitoring and evaluating teaching and learning across the department.

* Lead specific departmental initiatives and projects (e.g., literacy intervention, extracurricular clubs).

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a passionate English teacher with QTS/QTLS who:

* Possesses strong subject knowledge and a proven track record of effective teaching.
