Acorn by SYNERGIE are searching for a High Voltage Electrical Engineer to join our client, a large manufacturer based in Shotton, Deeside.

The purpose of the role is to take charge of maintaining, inspecting, and upgrading the high voltage (HV) electrical infrastructure across the Shotton site. This is a critical role in ensuring the ongoing performance, safety, and reliability of the operations.

Duties include:

* Lead the maintenance and inspection of HV systems, ensuring full compliance with safety standards and site regulations.

* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, coordinate planned maintenance, and oversee high-quality work from external contractors.

* Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing upgrades to boost system reliability and performance.

* Provide expert technical input into capital projects and ensure new systems meet the highest engineering standards.

* Manage and support a small HV team, including an HV Engineer, HV Electrician, and specialist HV contractors.

The successful candidate must be a qualified Electrical Engineer with a degree (or equivalent experience) and a strong background in HV systems.

Proven experience working with high voltage infrastructure in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.

Excellent knowledge of electrical safety regulations, risk management, and maintenance best practices.

Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

A proactive mindset with the ability to manage technical challenges and drive operational excellence.
