Powertrain Certification Engineer - Emissions

Location: Crewe (Hybrid – Minimum 2 Days On-Site Per Week)
Contract: Outside IR35

This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of technical conformity, ensuring seamless certification for South Korea and the USA while collaborating with a world-class engineering team. The role requires a blend of remote and on-site work (minimum two days per week in Crewe), with potential international travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead certification coordination, reporting, and documentation to meet critical project milestones.
Manage parts procurement, test plans, and resource allocation for emissions and powertrain-related projects.
Engage with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure compliance with international regulations.
Supervise emissions testing in the UK and abroad, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
Handle large volumes of technical data, solving complex challenges and providing critical engineering insights.
What We’re Looking For:

Strong knowledge of Powertrain, Body, Chassis, and Electrical Engineering in an automotive environment.
Hands-on experience with Emissions Type Approval, Certification, and Legislative Compliance.
Ability to develop, monitor, and execute detailed test plans with efficient resource management.
Familiarity with automotive development processes and project management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
Korean language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
A degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Willingness to travel internationally if required
