Lead Practitioner of Art
Location: Hammersmith & Fulham
A rare opportunity exists for an inspirational Lead Practitioner of Art to join a creative secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham. This key leadership role involves championing excellence in art education, mentoring staff, and enhancing teaching and learning across all artistic disciplines. The successful candidate will be a catalyst for innovation and student creativity.
The Role
The Lead Practitioner of Art will:
* Drive curriculum development and foster innovative teaching approaches within the Art department.
* Provide expert guidance, training, and coaching to Art teachers at all career stages.
* Model exemplary teaching practices, promoting diverse artistic techniques and critical analysis.
* Contribute to whole-school CPD and strategic planning for visual arts literacy.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an outstanding Art teacher with QTS/QTLS who:
* Has a demonstrable history of significantly improving student outcomes and artistic expression.
* Possesses exceptional leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
* Is passionate about fostering creativity and critical engagement with art.
* Is committed to staying abreast of the latest educational research and artistic practices.
