Secondary Teaching Assistant

Location: Ilkeston, DE7

Start: September 2025

Duration: Full-time, Long-term

Pay: £90 - £105 per day

Role Purpose

Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic secondary setting, supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) - including SEMH, cognition & learning, communication & interaction, and physical or sensory needs

Key Responsibilities

Work one-to-one or in small groups to support learning and emotional wellbeing
Collaborate with the SENCO, pastoral staff and external professionals to tailor support strategies
Attend team meetings to monitor pupil progress and modify provision as requiredPerson Specification

Proven experience working with young people, ideally with SEND/SEMH needs
Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour support, emotional literacy, or similar
Strong interpersonal skills, with a caring, patient and adaptable approachWhy Apply?
