SEN Teaching Assistant - Wembley SEN School - September 2025 Start  
Pertemps Education is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established SEN school in Wembley to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for a permanent role starting in September 2025. 
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and experienced SEN practitioner to join a specialist setting that provides high-quality education and support for children with a range of complex needs. The school is committed to promoting communication, independence, and emotional development for all its pupils. 
 
Location: Wembley 
Start Date: September 2025 
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent 
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience and qualifications) 
 
About the Role: 

Support children with complex special educational needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delay 
Work as part of a collaborative and experienced SEN support team 
Assist with communication programmes using Makaton and other visual supports 
Provide 1:1 and small group support, both in the classroom and during structured learning activities 
Encourage and facilitate independence, emotional regulation, and social development 
Follow behaviour support plans and assist with personal care routines when required 
Liaise with therapists, SEN professionals, and families to ensure consistent and holistic support  
The Ideal Candidate Will: 

Have substantial experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school or specialist setting 
Hold Makaton training to Level 3 (essential) 
Be confident supporting non-verbal or minimally verbal pupils 
Be proactive, patient, and adaptable in a busy and dynamic environment 
Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team 
Be committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
