As a Chemistry Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a subject that is both academically rigorous and incredibly relevant to the modern world. From exploring the periodic table to discussing green chemistry, this is your chance to ignite students’ love for learning.

Duties of the Chemistry Teacher include:

Teaching Chemistry across Key Stages 3–5, with a focus on exam preparation and practical work.

*

Creating lessons that emphasise both conceptual understanding and real-world application.

*

Engaging students in investigations, lab work, and group problem-solving.

*

Working collaboratively with other Chemistry Teachers to share ideas and strategies.

*

Supporting curriculum enrichment through events, trips, and competitions.

*

Monitoring and tracking student progress in Chemistry and providing targeted interventions.

*

Contributing to wider school initiatives in STEM and careers education.

*

Supporting the ethos of the school through commitment to equality and excellence.

Requirements:

*

A Chemistry-related degree and QTS.

*

Confidence in teaching Chemistry up to A-Level.

*

A collaborative and forward-thinking approach.

*

Excellent subject knowledge and a love of learning.
