Secondary Teacher – Full-Time – Harlow, Essex

We are currently recruiting for a committed and experienced Secondary School Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Harlow, Essex. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for qualified teachers with prior classroom experience, who are confident in delivering their subject specialism at Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential).

Location: Harlow, Essex
Position: Full-Time Secondary Teacher
Salary: £32,000 to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025
Eligibility: Open to experienced and qualified teachers (QTS required; not suitable for recent graduates or ECTs at this time)

The Role

As a Secondary Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons in your subject area, assess student progress, and contribute to the academic and personal development of pupils. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a high standard of teaching and learning, and help foster a positive school culture that promotes achievement and respect.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum

Assessing and monitoring student progress and attainment

*

Managing classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a focused learning environment

*

Adapting teaching to meet the needs of individual students

*

Participating in departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and school events

*

Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents

Requirements

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

*

Proven experience teaching at secondary level in the UK

*

Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage students across ability levels

*

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

*

A professional and collaborative approach to teaching

*

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
