Job Title: 1-2-1 SEN Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: WF2, Wakefield
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay: £85 - £95 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are currently recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work 1-2-1 with a pupil with additional needs at a supportive and inclusive primary school in the WF2 area of Wakefield.

The Role:

Provide dedicated 1-2-1 support to a pupil with SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum in a meaningful and supportive way.

Assist the class teacher with planning, delivering, and differentiating learning activities.

Monitor and support the social and emotional wellbeing of the child.

Liaise with SENCOs and external professionals as needed.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent).

Experience working 1-2-1 with children with SEN, ideally within a primary school.

Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, patient approach.

A valid DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
