We currently are recruiting for a leading independent timber merchant; they have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join their Sales Team to be based at their Head Office in Kings Lynn.

Competitive salary offered depending on experience.

Hours will be 7.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be responsible for self-generating and building commercial opportunities by converting these into revenue for the business.

They are looking for applicants who have a proven track record in sales. The successful candidate will have responsibility for achieving set targets per month, possess good attention to detail, can demonstrate effective interpersonal and influencing skills and work without close supervision.

Main duties/responsibilities will include:

A proactive sales approach by implementing and following the strategic sales plan.

Influence and negotiate prices to capitalise on commercial opportunities.

Maintain a level of pro-active telephone and face-to-face contact with prospective customers.

Offer initial solution overview and help identify customer goals/challenges

Research local opportunities and ensure all quotations are followed up when necessary.

Ensure all order received are entered into the internal system accurately

Ensure that all customer complaints issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion.

Purchasing when required.

Hitting or exceeding monthly sales targets.

Generate excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment to the achievement of business strategy and goals.

Serve customers on our trade counter during peak times.

Pick orders for collection.

To be considered for the position you must have/be:

Previous experience in a field sales role with exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

A team player who can work well under pressure and to demanding deadlines.

Versatile and flexible in your approach.

A good knowledge or background in timber products.

Prepared to work on a Saturday morning according to our weekend rota.

A can do attitude.

Skills required for the role:

Desirable
