Supply Desk is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Rickmansworth from September. This is a full-time teaching position, ideal for a qualified Maths specialist who is passionate about delivering high-quality education and inspiring students to excel in mathematics.

The school is well-regarded for its supportive leadership, strong academic performance, and inclusive community. It offers excellent facilities and a well-structured curriculum that encourages both student engagement and staff development.

Job Description:

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
Track and assess student progress using a variety of assessment tools and provide targeted feedback.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high achievement and a love of Maths.
Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, intervention sessions, or department initiatives.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths department and across the school to develop innovative resources and teaching strategies.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline, promoting mutual respect and a positive attitude to learning.
Participate in departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school events as a valued team member.

Our ideal candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching Maths in UK secondary schools.
Be confident in delivering Maths up to GCSE level (A-Level is a bonus).
Have excellent subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the Maths curriculum.
Be committed to raising student achievement through innovative teaching practices and high expectations.
Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and challenge learners of all abilities.
Be a team player with excellent communication skills and a willingness to contribute to school life.
Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
