This role is focused on proactive, insight-led business development - using data, market intelligence, and structured outreach to secure new opportunities with high-value industrial OEMs across the UK.

You'll play a pivotal role in growing revenue across a portfolio of precision-engineered products, including miniature bearings, disc springs, and other specialist mechanical components, supplied through exclusive UK distribution partnerships with leading global manufacturers.

Working closely with marketing, internal sales, and customer service teams, your mission will be to:

Convert qualified new business leads into revenue
Reactivate and develop dormant or lapsed accounts
Generate short-cycle project wins and establish long-term relationships
Identify technical needs and position suitable component solutionsThis is an ideal role for someone with a mechanical or technical background who thrives in a commercially focused environment.

You'll enjoy engaging with engineers, buyers, and design teams-translating technical specifications into practical solutions and long-term business value.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage a qualified target list of OEM and industrial customers.
Execute purposeful, disciplined daily sales activities.
Respond to qualified leads from Marketing and SDR teams.
Progress opportunities through discovery, proposal, and close stages to secure new orders.
Win new accounts and generate sales from project and product-based needs.
Re-engage lapsed or dormant customers through targeted outreach.
Collaborate with Marketing on tailored campaigns and SDRs on pipeline conversion.
Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and pipeline management in Pipedrive CRM.
Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly new sales targets.
Work cross-functionally with Account Development and Customer Service teams to seamlessly hand off new business.
Build relationships with key decision-makers within target organisations.
Review and analyse sales performance, continuously seeking improvements.
Maintain professionalism and lead by example in all sales activities.What We're Looking For

Proven experience in technical, industrial, or component sales.
Demonstrable track record of new business development and closing deals.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly self-motivated, with confidence managing personal pipelines and targets.
Technical understanding of engineering applications and customer requirements.
Familiarity with CRM platforms and structured outreach processes.
Collaborative and adaptable approach with cross-functional teamwork skills.
Bonus: Knowledge of industrial OEM markets or mechanical components.In addition to a competitive salary the successful candidates will benefit from:
