A well-respected and inclusive secondary school in Buckinghamshire is looking to appoint a qualified and compassionate SENCO for a full-time, permanent position from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader who is passionate about supporting students with additional needs and driving inclusive education.

About the Role
As SENCO, you will have whole-school responsibility for SEND provision. You will lead a dedicated team of TAs and support staff and will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of inclusion at the school.

Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the school’s SEND provision, including assessment, intervention, and EHCP coordination.
• Supporting staff with the planning and differentiation of lessons to meet diverse needs.
• Developing personalised learning plans and liaising with external agencies.
• Overseeing statutory compliance, including provision mapping and reporting.
• Delivering CPD on inclusive practices and SEND strategies.
• Acting as a key member of the school’s safeguarding and wellbeing team.
• Ensuring the highest quality of education for students with additional needs.

Experience and Qualifications
• QTS and a proven track record of working with children with SEND.
• National SENCO Award (or willingness to complete it within the required timeframe).
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• A clear understanding of current SEND legislation and best practice.

Salary
This is a leadership post paid at MPS/UPS + TLR, depending on qualifications and experience.
