An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and knowledgeable Biology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Weston-super-Mare this September 2025. This full-time, permanent position is open to both experienced teachers and ECTs passionate about delivering high-quality science education.

About the Science Department
The Science department is a collaborative and energetic team that consistently achieves strong academic outcomes. Biology is a popular subject at both GCSE and A-Level. The department is housed in well-equipped laboratories and benefits from experienced technicians and modern teaching resources.

About the Role
As a Biology Teacher, you will:
• Teach Biology to KS3 and KS4, with the option for KS5 depending on experience.
• Design and deliver dynamic, practical-based lessons that challenge and inspire students.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and differentiated support.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, development of schemes of work, and enrichment activities.
• Support extracurricular science events, clubs, and trips.
• Collaborate with fellow Science teachers in sharing best practice and teaching strategies.

Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Biology or a related subject.
• QTS or PGCE in Secondary Science.
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for inspiring young scientists.
• Strong classroom management and effective communication skills.

Salary
Paid to scale – MPS/UPS, based on qualifications and experience.
