A forward-thinking and high-achieving secondary school in Bicester is looking to appoint a creative and skilled Design Technology Teacher with a focus on Product Design. This full-time, permanent post begins in September 2025 and is suitable for ECTs as well as experienced educators.

About the DT Department
Design Technology is a thriving and well-supported department that enjoys a central role in the school’s curriculum. The DT labs are equipped with modern CAD/CAM tools, laser cutters, and 3D printers. Staff collaborate on curriculum development and share resources regularly to ensure consistency and innovation in teaching.

About the Role
As a DT (Product Design) Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Planning and assessing student work in line with national curriculum standards.
• Supporting students in developing creative and technical skills using a range of materials and technologies.
• Participating in extra-curricular and enrichment activities such as STEM clubs or design competitions.
• Working collaboratively within the DT team to innovate and improve schemes of work.
• Contributing to a positive, forward-looking teaching culture.

Experience and Qualifications
• A degree in Product Design, DT or a related field.
• QTS or PGCE in Secondary Education.
• Ability to use modern DT equipment and software confidently.
• Passion for design, creativity, and inspiring young people.

Salary
Salary will be paid to scale – MPS/UPS, depending on experience.
