Role: Environmental Protection Officer

Working Pattern: 37h Hybrid

Start Date: ASAP

Rate: DOE p/h Umbrella

A local authority client of mine in the Midlands are seeking an experienced Environmental Protection Officer to join their team for an initial 6 month contract with potential view of extension.

The majority of the work will be to to identify, investigate, monitor, and rectify pollution issues across the area, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and contributing to the development of policies related to pollution control.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Identifying, investigating, and monitoring air, land, noise, and water pollution.
Implementing the Council's Contaminated Land Inspection Strategy.
The assessment of air quality and implementing air quality strategies.
Undertaking enforcement duties related to environmental health legislation.
