We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a CNC Turner Setter Operator to join their established team on a twilight/night shift.

About the Role
As a CNC Turner Setter Operator, you’ll be setting and operating CNC sliding head lathes to produce precision components, primarily in aluminium and stainless steel. This is a skilled role within a small, well-supported team, manufacturing parts that are used in vital sectors around the world.

You’ll be given time to settle in, with support from experienced colleagues and access to excellent facilities in a clean, well-organised, modern environment.

Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC sliding head lathes (also known as swiss-type lathes, made by companies such as Citizen, Star, Tornos, Nakamura-Tome or similar)
Producing precision components in aluminium and stainless steel to tight tolerances
Passing your first-off through inspection, then checking your own work against drawings using gauges and micrometer
Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
Working with other team members to meet production targets
Requirements
Previous experience setting and operating CNC turning machines
Comfortable working from technical drawings and specifications
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
A background in roles such as: CNC Turner, CNC Setter Operator, CNC Lathe Machinist, Sliding Head Operator

Benefits include

Salary: £38,000 – £41,000 (dependent on your experience)
Regular premium-rate overtime available
Twilight/night shift 4 shifts per week: Monday – Thursday, 4 x 9.75 hour shifts (39 hours total)

Holidays can be booked in hours rather than days or half days
