HGV Specialist Waste Engineer
Location: Chertsey STW, Surrey (with travel across parts of South London)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week
Salary: £18.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time

We're looking for a Specialist Waste Engineer to play a vital role in helping keep our waste-water infrastructure running smoothly. What You’ll Be Doing

*

Operating specialist HGV equipment to tackle real-world drainage and waste-water challenges

*

Ensuring your vehicle is fully stocked and ready for the day

*

Delivering excellent customer service, even in high-pressure situations

*

Working safely on site and setting up safe working environments

*

Using job management systems such as BigChange, Samsara and Thames Water LMC

*

Supporting your team and contributing to a positive, can-do culture

*

Performing thorough equipment checks and reporting any defects

*

Maintaining strong timekeeping and communication with the planning team

*

Following all safety protocols and contributing to a best-in-class safety culture

What You’ll Bring

You’ll need the following qualifications and experience:

*

HGV Class 2 Licence (minimum requirement)

*

Confined Space – Full Rescue certification

*

High Pressure Water Jetting Certificate (HPWJA)

*

Streetworks (NRSWA) certification

*

National Water Hygiene certificate

*

JHL, SHEA Water, and DISAB training also desirable
