Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting Groundworkers in Swansea. These positions are suited to candidates with highways deep drainage experience.

The project is replacing the existing defective highway drainage system with 1km of new gravity highway drainage utilising two existing large diameter (600mm) culvert crossings which direct flow from north to south.

These roles could go permanent for the right candidates.

Main duties include:
* Mixing and pouring mortar and concrete
* Excavating trenches
* Assisting supervisors and operators to carry out safe excavations, CAT scanning
* Laying pavements and resurfacing roads
* Marking out the area for the site using string lines and putting up barriers and safety signs
* Laying drainage pipes, constructing manholes and setting manhole covers
* Operate hand & small tools safely to complete the task as instructed.
* Ensure all delivery tickets are handed to site managers on a daily basis.
* Operating small plant such as dumpers and rollers where adequate training has been provided.
* Ensure all company plant equipment and property is securely stored out of working hours.
* Ensure all correct company PPE is worn and maintained.
* Comply with all company procedures.

Essential
* Experience of working in a similar role.
* Driving licence
* Valid skills card - i.e. CSCS card, plant tickets advantageous but not essential.
