GCSE English or Maths Tutor (Outreach - Havering)

About the Role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and qualified GCSE English or Maths Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 education to students who are currently not in mainstream school. These tailored sessions are designed to re-engage young learners, build their confidence, and help them bridge gaps in their learning.

As an Outreach Tutor, you will:

Plan and deliver bespoke lessons tailored to individual student needs
Provide structured, engaging, and supportive sessions that boost progress and motivation
Help students re-establish a positive relationship with learning after time out of educationThis is an ideal role for experienced teachers looking to move away from the traditional classroom setting in favour of a more flexible, student-focused approach.

Contract Details

Location: Various locations across Havering and surrounding areas
Position: 1:1 Outreach Tutor (English or Maths GCSE focus)
Contract Type: Temporary, with flexible hours
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Varies depending on each student
Pay Rate: From £25 per hour
Hours: Sessions typically range from 1-3 hoursRequirements

Recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent)
Minimum 6 months' experience teaching in a UK school
Strong subject knowledge in either GCSE English or Maths
Recent safeguarding training (desirable but not essential - can be provided)To be considered, you must:

Have the Right to Work in the UK
Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service
