Science Graduate Teaching Assistant - East London Schools
Location: East London (Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Barking & Dagenham, and surrounding areas)
Position: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: GBP85-GBP100 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

We are currently recruiting Science Graduate Teaching Assistants to join a network of diverse and inclusive secondary schools across East London. This is an ideal opportunity for aspiring science teachers or graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

About the Role:
As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, youll work closely with teachers and students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons. Youll help deliver engaging learning experiences, provide targeted support, and play a key role in helping students develop confidence and enthusiasm for science.

Responsibilities Include:
· Supporting the teaching of Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 opportunities available in some schools)
· Assisting in preparing experiments and maintaining lab equipment
· Delivering small group and one-to-one intervention sessions
· Supporting pupils with SEN, EAL, or those who need extra guidance
· Helping to create an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment

Ideal Candidate:
· A recent graduate in a Science subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field)
· Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude
· A genuine interest in education, youth development, or STEM outreach
· Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable, not essential)
· An ambition to pursue a career in teaching or educational support
