KS1 Teacher

Inspire young minds in a supportive, community-driven school

Teach Now is thrilled to be recruiting for a part-time KS1 teacher to join a thriving, community-focused primary school in Barking & Dagenham starting in September 2025. This is a permanent role for a passionate, dedicated educator who is looking for a better work-life balance without compromising on impact.

About the school

This two-form entry primary school is known for its warm, inclusive ethos and strong leadership team. The environment is calm, nurturing and child-centred, with a curriculum that prioritises creativity, critical thinking, and holistic development. The school is well-connected, with convenient access to public transport, and boasts newly refurbished classrooms, excellent resources, and extensive outdoor space for play and learning.

About the role

As a KS1 teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to a mixed-ability class, planning creative lessons that cater to different learning styles, and maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement. You’ll work collaboratively with experienced staff and receive support from a dedicated teaching assistant in the classroom.

What we’re looking for

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – ECTs and experienced teachers welcome
• Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school (preferably in KS1)
• A nurturing, enthusiastic approach to education
• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
• A commitment to inclusion and helping every child thrive

What the school offers

• A permanent, part-time role to suit your schedule
• Excellent CPD and career development opportunities
• Supportive and collaborative staff team
• A caring, community-driven atmosphere
• Competitive daily pay: £160–£210 (depending on experience)

If you’re ready to inspire the next generation in a setting that truly values its teachers, we want to hear from you.
