Teach Now is delighted to be recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in Barking & Dagenham. This full-time, permanent role starts as soon as possible—ideal for someone who thrives on making a positive difference in the classroom.

The role

As HLTA, you will work across Key Stage 1 and 2, leading small group interventions, delivering pre-prepared lessons, and providing PPA cover where needed. You will collaborate closely with class teachers and the senior leadership team, playing a crucial role in supporting pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing.

Requirements

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience working in a UK primary school
• Confident delivering lessons and leading small groups
• A proactive and flexible approach to teaching
• Passion for supporting children of all abilities and backgrounds
