My client, a 5*, privately owned new build housing developer have an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Scaffolding Supervisor to join the Company’s Production Team.

Reporting to the Production Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, managing and monitoring of all scaffold installations, maintenance, and removal of scaffolding structures, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant regulations across our sites. You will manage the day-to-day activities of our direct and subcontract scaffolders, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget, and act as a liaison between the site scaffolders and the site

Core accountabilities of the role include:

* Lead and manage a team of scaffolders, ensuring high-quality work.

* Assess project requirements, review scaffold design drawings, plan, manage and monitor site scaffolds to meet the needs of the job, ensuring that the build programmes are adhered to.

* Ensure all scaffolding work complies with construction industry safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations SG4:22 and TG20:21 by conducting regular site safety inspections and audits, addressing any deficiencies immediately.

* Complete Harnesses, lanyard, Impact Wrench and Scaff-Step Inspections.

* Have knowledge of possible occupation health issues including vibration, noise, working in the sun, manual handling and adverse weather

* Train and mentor junior and apprentice scaffolders, providing guidance on proper installation techniques, safety practices, and career development. Carry out regular toolbox talks to scaffolders.

* Work closely with site management and other trades, to ensure scaffolding operations integrate seamlessly with the overall construction timeline.

* Monitor scaffold materials and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition and adequately stocked for upcoming plots on all developments.

* Document and report on the progress of scaffolding work, including any issues, delays, or safety concerns to the site management teams, production director and health & safety department.

* Troubleshoot and resolve any scaffolding related issues (technical or non-technical) on-site, adjusting plans and resources as needed to maintain workflow and safety.

* Be familiar with crash decks systems, Trad Deck, G-Deck etc., traditional birdcage systems.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills:

* Experience working with a similar role.

* Hold strong organisational, leadership, problem solving and team management skills

* Valid scaffolding qualification (CISRS or equivalent)

* Ability to be demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of scaffolding types, techniques, and safety regulations.

* Ability to read and interpret scaffold design drawings and compliance sheets.

* Up to date with legislation changes

* Ability to work in varying weather conditions, lift heavy materials, and climb scaffolding structures.

* Full UK Driving Licence
