Job Title: Automotive Service Manager – HGV Network Support
Location: South of the UK (Home-Based)
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Bonus + Company Car
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – Days
Overview: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Automotive Service Manager to support a network of commercial HGV workshops across the South of the UK. This is a home-based role with regular travel to service centres and customer sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing compliance, service performance, and customer satisfaction while helping to shape a high-performing service network.
Key Responsibilities:
Workshop Support: Provide operational support to a network of HGV service centres, ensuring best practices across hire, sales, and service functions.
Customer Engagement: Act as a point of contact for key customers, supporting service agreements, maintenance schedules, and contract performance.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure workshops and staff adhere strictly to legal and internal standards including COSHH, health and safety, and environmental policies.
Service Schedules & KPIs: Develop and monitor service schedules, KPIs, and workshop structures to drive efficiency and quality.
Training & Development: Deliver training and onboarding support for new starters. Support continuous improvement and skills development across the network.
Audit & Quality: Conduct regular audits and performance reviews across sites to ensure high standards of service and compliance.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in operational processes, workflow, and customer experience.Key Requirements:
Proven experience in an automotive service management role, preferably within the HGV/commercial vehicle sector.
Strong understanding of workshop operations, service contracts, and commercial customer needs.
Demonstrable knowledge of compliance regulations, including COSHH and health and safety.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites and stakeholders.
Willingness to travel across the South of the UK.
Full UK driving licence.Benefits:
