A leading all-girls’ independent school in Wokingham is seeking a talented and enthusiastic French Teacher to join its thriving Modern Languages Department in September 2025.

The Role

As our French Teacher, you will:

Teach French across Key Stages 3–5, with a focus on fluency, comprehension, and cultural insight

*

Create a dynamic classroom experience that fosters curiosity, confidence, and communicative skill

*

Contribute to the wider life of the department through trips, clubs, and cultural events

*

Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold high academic standards and innovate the curriculum

*

Support the individual learning journeys of every pupil in a nurturing, all-girls setting

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a teacher who brings:

*

A degree in French or a related field, with strong subject knowledge

*

A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)

*

Experience teaching French at KS3–KS5, ideally in a high-achieving or independent school

*

A passion for French language, literature, and culture

*

A creative and reflective teaching approach, attuned to how girls learn and thrive

*

A willingness to take part in the full life of the school
