SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Autism Support
Location: Havering
Start Date: June 2025
Contract Type: Supply (full-time and part-time positions available)
Daily Rate: £90 - £100 (dependent on experience)
Year Groups: Early Years through to Year 6

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference? Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a number of primary schools in Havering, seeking reliable and enthusiastic support staff for both day-to-day and long-term placements.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who:

Have previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly in a school environment

Are confident providing one-to-one or small group support (phonics or intervention work experience is advantageous)

Demonstrate excellent communication and behaviour management skills

Can foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Are proactive, patient, and supportive with a strong understanding of SEN, IEPs, and EHCPs

Key Requirements:

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Legal right to work in the UK

A complete employment history listed on your CV

Two recent professional references

Overseas police check (if applicable)
