Job Title: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Boston
Salary Range: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and forward-thinking Design Technology Teacher to join a high-achieving school in Boston from September. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a creative and supportive department that values practical learning and innovation.

About the Role:

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons across a range of DT specialisms, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, and Engineering. The successful candidate will support students in developing both their technical knowledge and creativity, helping them to gain hands-on experience and develop essential life skills.

You will be joining a school that places high value on technical education and offers excellent workshop facilities, well-resourced classrooms, and strong departmental support.

Job Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Inspire students to explore design processes, problem-solving, and product development.
Ensure safe working practices in the classroom and workshop environments.
Contribute to the development of innovative projects and assessments.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Support extra-curricular activities and whole-school initiatives related to STEM or DT.
Job Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Specialism or experience in teaching Design Technology at various Key Stages.
Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations in workshop environments.
Strong organisational skills and a commitment to practical teaching.
A genuine passion for design and innovation.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
