Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Washington

Salary: Up to £50,000

Working Hours:

38 hours per week (Early Friday Finish)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a talented Engineering Team, contributing to the design and development of class-leading, innovative products. As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in both the creative and practical aspects of product development, utilising 3D CAD systems and working cross-functionally to deliver market-ready solutions.

You will be responsible for creating new product designs and extending existing product ranges. You’ll also be involved in maintaining technical documentation, generating detailed CAD drawings, and participating in project meetings as a technical authority.

Expect to lead on design improvements, ensure timely project delivery, and provide ongoing engineering support to manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Skills & Experience:

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a Design Engineering role within a manufacturing environment

* Degree qualified, HND/C or time served in an engineering discipline.

* Proficient in CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks)

* Strong understanding of detail design, DFMEA, and design for manufacture.

* Energetic personality and desire to learn and develop.
