Design Project Engineer

Employment type: Permanent, full-time

Location: Glossop (Office based)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5pm, Friday 8.30am-4.30pm

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience + 26 days holiday (+ Bank Holidays) + Bonus + PMI + Life Insurance + Pension

We are working exclusively with our client, a long-established leader in designing and manufacturing advanced equipment for material processing and product finishing across various industrial sectors.

We are looking for a Design Project Engineer to lead projects from concept to commissioning-turning client requirements into fully installed, operational solutions. If you thrive on seeing a project through every stage, from initial sales support to installation and aftercare, we want to hear from you!

Example of Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the sales team and clients to understand customer needs and develop tailored design solutions.
Lead the design process using SolidWorks software, ensuring technical accuracy and innovation
Manage project timelines and resources from design through manufacturing, installation, and commissioning
Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery
Provide technical support during and after project completionEssential Skills/Background:

SolidWorks experience is preferred
Previous experience in a Design Engineer related role is essential
Excellent communication skills
Flexible to travel to client sites when required
UK Driving licence
