Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Thatcham, Berkshire

Our client, a specialist provider of air conditioning services based in Berkshire, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This role is ideally suited to candidates with a strong background in HVAC design.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and develop detailed mechanical design drawings (CAD).

* Carry out equipment sizing and selection.

* Collaborate closely with clients and internal project teams.

* Work on HVAC systems, with an emphasis on air conditioning and ventilation.

* Support projects from concept through to commissioning.

* Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations and standards

Candidate Requirements:

* Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, Ideally in the HVAC Sector

* Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., Hevacomp, AutoCAD).

* Educational background in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (HND / BEng / BSc preferred, but not essential).

* Sound understanding of HVAC system design, installation, testing, and commissioning in the building environment.

* Must be located within a commutable distance of the office in Thatcham, Berkshire.

* Must have experience in CAT B fitout

Package & Benefits:

* Salary: £40,000 – £70,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.

* Working hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

* Full benefits package to be discussed at interview
