Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure & Tunnelling
London / Chessington / South East | Permanent | Full-Time
Competitive Salary (DOE)

A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation and commercial control across major civil engineering works, with a strong focus on shafts and tunnelling. Based in Chessington, with travel to various project sites in the South East, this is a key role across all phases of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare valuations, applications for payment, cost reports, and internal commercial reporting.

Manage subcontractor and material procurement schedules from requisition through to final account.

Administer contracts (including change management) and maintain associated registers.

Support client cost reporting and ensure contractual compliance.

Identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.

Utilise internal costing systems for budget tracking and forecasting.

Requirements

Proven experience in shafts and tunnelling projects.

Familiarity with IChemE contracts is essential.

Minimum 5 years' QS experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.

Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract and methods of measurement.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
