Senior Account Manager

Annual Salary: £(phone number removed)pa plus potential commission £15-30,000pa
Location: Cambridge (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-timeReed Business Support are working with an amazing company based on the outskirts of Cambridge who are seeking a Senior Account Manager to join their dynamic sales team. This role is crucial for maintaining excellent relationships with key customers and expanding their reach both within existing accounts and through new prospects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving customer retention and increasing sales, aligning with their strategic goals.

Day-to-day of the role:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing the sales process through phone, virtual calls, emails, and site visits as outlined in KPIs.
Develop and maintain a detailed Account Development plan for owned customers.
Keep the CRM database up-to-date with contact and opportunity information.
Conduct prospecting activities within existing accounts to identify and develop new opportunities.
Engage in prospecting activities with new customers to generate business.
Collaborate with Customer Success Managers, Product Lead Team, and Technical Team to advance sales opportunities.
Work alongside various teams including the renewals team, finance and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and reduce churn rates.
Engage with key suppliers and potential clients to assess their needs and fit for the company's products or services.
Support and mentor junior team members in Account Management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience in a customer-facing environment.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades A-C) and 3 A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications).
Valid driving license.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is desirable.
Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
Proven ability to manage customer relationships, including contract negotiations and meeting customer needs.
Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of the software industry, particularly within Manufacturing/Engineering, is highly advantageous.
