We are now seeking an experienced and committed Year 6 Teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2025 and help prepare our pupils for the next stage of their education.

Role Overview:
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for leading your class through the final year of primary school with confidence and ambition. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils' academic progress, well-being, and readiness for secondary school. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated teacher to make a lasting impact at a crucial stage in pupils’ education.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum and SATs preparation

*

Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, ensuring high expectations and appropriate challenge for all learners

*

Create a positive, well-organised, and supportive classroom environment

*

Work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership to support school improvement initiatives

*

Build strong partnerships with parents and carers to support pupil achievement and well-being

*

Play an active role in the wider life of the school, including residential trips, leavers’ events, and transition support

We are looking for:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

*

Significant experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6

*

A sound understanding of end-of-Key Stage assessments and transition to secondary school

*

High standards of classroom management and professional conduct

*

A confident, reflective practitioner committed to ongoing improvement

*

Please note: this role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
