Description

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated HCPC-Registered Psychologist to join our specialist Children and Young Adults Service in Wales.
You will work closely with the clinical team to support Children 10-18 with complex emotional, Interpersonal and behavioural needs.

Key responsibilities of a Clinical Psychologist:

As a HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist, you will play a key role in delivering specialist psychological services across our residential care and education settings
You will be responsible for: Delivering evidence-based psychological assessments, risk assessments, and formulations.
Providing individual and group interventions, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Offering psychologically-informed consultation to care, education, and therapeutic teams.
Supporting staff training and development initiatives
Contributing to service evaluation, development, and research.Essential criteria of a Clinical Psychologist:
To have BPS recognised psychology degrees
UK HCPC registration
To have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
To be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division
To have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
To have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a Learning Disabilities and Autism setting
To be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits
To have previous experience of conducting research and project workingBenefits:
