Description

Duties:

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

*

Create wheels, tyres, valves, assembly, PMS and TPMS requirements and test procedures.

*

Contribute and carry out design failure mode analysis (DFMEAs.)

*

Develop tools for use by wheel and tyre engineers.

*

Data analysis and report writing.

*

Continuously look for process improvements, efficiencies, cost reductions, quality improvements and developing capability to deliver commodities with aid of virtual or simulation techniques (CAE.)

*

Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.

Skills:

Essential:

*

Self-motivated and able to work to broad guidance.

*

Proven ability to author technical documents.

*

Basic project management capabilities, managing personal tasks to meet all deliverables in a timely and effective manner.

*

To be customer focussed, constructively working with colleagues and customers, responding to their enquiries.

Desirable:

*

Knowledge of wheels and/or tyres development, the various areas of the expertise affected by wheels and tyres, or tyre and/or wheel manufacturing, wheel and tyre assembly, puncture management systems (PMS), or tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).

*

Relevant experience with defining requirements or minimum standards, test procedures, failure mode analysis and quality management.

A good working knowledge of product definition, creation, and delivery processes
