Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Newham

The role – Primary SEN Teaching assistant
* The successful Primary SEN Teaching assistant will be required to support students with ASD, SEMH and other learning disabilities, providing learning materials to cater for specific abilities.
* Providing one-to-one or small group support to students, assisting with learning tasks and promoting their inclusion in classroom activities.
* Build a trusting and positive relationship with students and communicate according to their understanding.
* As the new Primary SEN teaching assistant, you will be responsible for leading 1:1 intervention.
* Under the guidance of teaching staff, provide feedback to students, parents and carers about their progress, achievements and any potential issues.
* Collaborate with teachers and external professionals to implement individualised education plans and behaviour support strategies.
