Ocala Operations is now hiring for a Manufacturing Planner Associate. Lockheed Martins Ocala site is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that builds circuit cards, wire harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies. The facility currently has over 1400 employees and provides products to six Missiles and Fire Control sites. Ocala specializes in both low volume, high mix, and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor-intensive manufacturing. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team. This position requires that the selected candidate model personal excellence through responsibility and accountability for their actions and assigned task, demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. After formal training, the candidate will work directly with a seasoned planner to gain a full understanding of all aspects of PP & C. The selected candidate will be expected to gain a full understanding of all Ocala SAP software systems as they relate to production planning. The selected candidate will: Work as an integral part of a cross-functional team on an assigned program or area Expedite and optimize material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements Monitor material for timely release to factory Maintain and monitor all production planning metrics Aid in meeting all scheduled deliveries Interface with the customer to provide program health information Maintain data integrity to drive inventory optimization and minimize cost MFCProdOpsQMS Basic Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Information Systems, or a related discipline. Desired Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Understanding of Material Resource Planning (MRP). Knowledge of Inventory Control. Preferred degree disciplines include Production Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, and related. Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Work experience / internship in related discipline. Previous leadership experience. Previous experience using SAP. American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification. Member of the Production & Operations Management Society. Possess strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated use of analytical skills to solve problems. Ability to assess priorities and act with appropriate sense of urgency and multi-task to meet customer demands. Ability to build effective relationships with customers and program managers, and co-workers.
