Maintenance Engineer

Location: Gillingham

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - Dayshift (no nights or weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

Perform both planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of production machinery and equipment.
Minimise downtime and improve the efficiency of manufacturing processes through effective maintenance practices.
Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure all machinery is compliant with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with the production team to support operational goals and resolve any technical issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and repairs.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
Experience with automated systems, PLCs, and machinery maintenance is highly beneficial.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
